We are a local law firm owned and managed by the people at the very center of our community. We are lucky to have excellent relationships with each other, our clients, and our business partners, providing a trusted, reliable, and thoroughly professional service using the latest technology. We do not advertise on glossy television or magazine adverts, nor do we pay anyone to introduce clients. Instead, we invest in training our lawyers and support staff to be second to none, and we support community charities and arts projects.

Our philosophy is simple: if we do a good job for somebody, they will recommend us to others. We prioritize driving a transaction, being central to it, and keeping our clients informed at all times, even if nothing is happening.

We believe that nobody provides a better service than us. While other firms may be cheaper, they will not be as fast, committed, or determined to achieve the best result for you. They will not be as friendly, and you will not be as impressed.

OUR HISTORY

Chubb Bulleid Solicitors are based in the center of Wells, Street, and Somerton in Somerset County. The firm, as it is today, was formed in March 1997 as a result of the merger between Chubb Beresford in Wells, which had almost 150 years of legal expertise, and Bulleid Leeks & Co., which was formed in Street and Glastonbury over 70 years ago. While we no longer have an office in Glastonbury, we still have a presence in the town and will continue to do so. On October 4, 2004, the firm of Alan R Walton & Company in Somerton was incorporated into the firm. We still have a thriving office in the center of Somerton that continues to expand. Some years ago, we assisted in the closure of Roger Gay & Company and continue to store their wills and deeds. On October 1, 2015, T.G. Pollard & Co. of Wells merged with Chubb Bulleid, adding 50 more years of legal expertise. As you can see from our detailed philosophy, this firm prioritizes placing itself in the center of local communities. That is the history, and we hope it will continue to be the future of this firm.
